There is no memorial day (memorials need not salute dead people, right) for our unsung heroes, the OFWs and OCWs. Who are these people? Like any other who wold want to give a more prosperous life for their loved ones. They are the ones who sacrifice going to other countries for years on end without the benefit of being by the side of their family. (Hey am I getting emo or what). And why is that? Because really, grass is greener (earning-wise) outside our wow country.
I salute with a silent gun salute all the mothers and the fathers, the sisters, the brothers, who have sailed or flown to strange countries to make life more livable for the ones they have left behind. For every dollar remitted, it is not only your family that benefits but also the whole country....eeh..I mean..that should be the case...
